Discover the “natural beauty” of Shizen, one of the newest lines of eco-friendly decorative materials made exlusively for the decorative finisher. This class is designed for anyone wishing to stay abreast of the newest trends in the decorative arts. The "Shizen" curriculum focuses on teaching students environmentally friendly finishes using decorative finshing products and textures. We'll introduce you to the four different textures in the Japanese-influenced line. These specially-created “green” trowelable materials boast zero or extremely low VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) and are capturing the attention of the design and architectural industries. The "Shizen" line of textures is only available to the trained professional applicator. These decorative textures enable you as a decorative artist to create environmentally friendly finishes in varying degrees of green, which will be explained in this course.
